Laser hair reduction is a sought-after service in today’s beauty industry. Using the power and accuracy of lasers, professional estheticians can greatly reduce hair growth on clients, so they can enjoy smooth skin for years. New York School of Esthetics is proud to offer an advanced course for licensed professionals to learn this permanent hair reduction technique.
The 32-hour course is a full four-day course that teaches the theory and physics behind the treatment, how to operate the laser equipment, safety and OSHA standards, and much more. Students practice the skill on each other and live models. Completing the course results in a certificate that could open up more work opportunities. Contact us to find out when the next course begins.
As of right now, New York does not require laser hair reduction technicians to become licensed by the state. However, there is a bill under review that may require a laser technician to take a class from an NYS licensed curriculum and pass a licensing exam from the state. If you take our permanent hair reduction course before this bill passes, you will be grandfathered in, which means you will automatically acquire the necessary license to practice laser hair reduction.
