Advance Your Career with an Effective Hair Reduction Technique

Laser hair reduction is a sought-after service in today’s beauty industry. Using the power and accuracy of lasers, professional estheticians can greatly reduce hair growth on clients, so they can enjoy smooth skin for years. New York School of Esthetics is proud to offer an advanced course for licensed professionals to learn this permanent hair reduction technique.

The 32-hour course is a full four-day course that teaches the theory and physics behind the treatment, how to operate the laser equipment, safety and OSHA standards, and much more. Students practice the skill on each other and live models. Completing the course results in a certificate that could open up more work opportunities. Our Comprehensive Laser Hair Reduction Course

When a laser technician uses laser equipment for permanent hair reduction, the laser’s concentrated pulses of light destroy the hair that it targets. This procedure does not completely remove unwanted hair forever, but it greatly reduces the amount of hair, and the results often last for years. It is safe to use on most parts of the body. Our permanent hair reduction course teaches licensed beauty professionals how to perform this procedure, so they can expand their services and increase their client base.

Who is this Course For?

The 32-hour permanent hair reduction course is open to:

  • Licensed Estheticians
  • Licensed Cosmetologists
  • Licensed RNs, LPNs, Physician Assistants, or Physicians
  • Certified Electrologists
  • Licensed Massage Therapists
  • Licensed Acupuncturists

As of right now, New York does not require laser hair reduction technicians to become licensed by the state. However, there is a bill under review that may require a laser technician to take a class from an NYS licensed curriculum and pass a licensing exam from the state. If you take our permanent hair reduction course before this bill passes, you will be grandfathered in, which means you will automatically acquire the necessary license to practice laser hair reduction.

See What Our Students Have To Say

I recently graduated from the NYSE, and I’m very satisfied with the education I received. The curriculum is well-structured, and the quality of teaching is excellent. I took both the general esthetics course, and the paramedical class, and both provided a solid foundation and valuable hands-on experience. The instructors are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely care about their students’ success. I felt well-supported throughout my time at the school, and I’m confident in the skills I’ve gained to begin my career in esthetics.

I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in pursuing a career in esthetics!

The NYSE is incredibly passionate about teaching and preparing their students for the state board test and to succeed in their future as estheticians. The paramedical program was the best decision I made. The program is taught by knowledgeable and experienced instructors which increased my confidence to perform in depth procedures. The instructors make sure you have reliable learning resources during and after the course.

I studied esthetics here and had a great experience. The highlight of my experience was when I decided to do the additional paramedical course with Irina. She was thorough, informative, and refused to move on from subjects until we all fully understood what we were discussing. The paramedical course gave us an in depth background into paramedical esthetics, and also gave us additional certifications for dermaplaning, advanced chemical peels, and laser. I immediately was hired to work at a MediSpa upon graduating at Luz MediSpa in Somers NY, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything has turned out. Big thank you to Irina and all the ladies at New York School of Esthetics!
